Square pyramidal

The AX5E\mathrm{AX_5E} shape: an octahedron with one position taken by a lone pair, leaving four atoms in a square base and one at the apex. The lone pair pushes the angles to the apex slightly below 90°.

Central Br atom bonded to 5 F atoms, with 1 lone pair.FFBrFFF90°180°Ideal bond angles: 90°, 180°
BrFX5\ce{BrF5}: the lone pair sits opposite the apical F.

Example

IFX5\ce{IF5} and ClFX5\ce{ClF5} are square pyramidal as well; like BrFX5\ce{BrF5}, they are polar.
